Beautiful 1800s French linen torchon bolt. This is a lovely bolt of unused torchon linen that would originally have been cut to make torchon tea towel cloths. This is a strong textile and a very durable old linen weave that can be used in many period projects. The textured weave has red stripes on each edge. chic red (triple) stripes at the edges. This was purchased in the South of France.
There are approximately 6 yards on this bolt and it is 23" wide with the red stripes on both sides. This bolt has never been used and is in good condition with a few stains, so it will need to be cleaned from being in storage for many
years. I can't see any holes so it is in fantastic condition.
