Beautiful 1800s French gilt wood pediment. This gently timeworn piece was most likely part of a larger work of art. It is hand-carved and in fantastic condition. You can see on the back where there is one small leaf repair and a hook for hanging it on the wall. This delicate gilt wood hand-carved piece was purchased in Provence. It is perfect as a home accent or a unique addition to one's curated collection. This piece can also be used to create an objet d'art. It measures approximately 12.2" x 4.5" x 1" and is a lovely display piece to hang or lean. Antique pieces like these are getting harder and harder to find. Please note that the leaf repair is consistent with its age, as it is over 150 years old. Sold as found.
