Antique French "Jean 12 Avril 1925" candy or jewelry. This is made from VERY sturdy cardboard covered in silk with an accent fabric on the scalloped edges. The top has a picture of five swinging and playing cherubs. I can't see any markings on the box other than what is on the top. The bottom has four silk thread footings held in place with with tacks and they are on tight. Other than the frayed silk on the top this is in wonderful condition. I myself would use it for jewelry, hair accessories or even a small sewing box. The box is just beautiful and can hold a plethera of pretty things. The contents of the box are not include. They are for display only. The fabric in the picture is under textiles.
