Darling and old antique 1700s French miniature engraving of a woman and a cherub. This is an original from France. It is not a reproduction. The engraving has been placed on a green oval mat and framed in a beautiful wooden frame. Estelle and Nemorin are characters from the 18th-century novel “Le Chevalier de Florian”. The frame is 4" x 5", and it is made of wood. The wood is careworn, but that is to be expected given its age. The glass front has no issues that I can see. The back is covered in script paper, so I can't see the original back. The original loop hanger is still in place. This is a fabulous engraving from the 1700's and would be a fine addition to any miniature collection.
