Beautiful antique French armorial seal from the 1800's. This is a lovely piece we purchased from a private collector in France. The seal is solid brass with a beautiful coat of arms. You can clealry see the griffin on the top of the sheild with swirls surrounding it and flowing down the sides. We have not done the research on this piece but it is beautiful. The handle is long gone but the screw that would attach to the wooden handle in place is still there. The seal is approximately .74" x .75. This is a solid antique piece and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please note that we have not cleaned this piece.
