Darling and old antique 1700s French miniature engraving of "ESTELLE ET NEMORIN. This is an original from France. It is not a reproduction. Estelle and Nemorin are characters from the 18th-century novel “Le Chevalier de Florian”. The frame measures 5" in diameter and it is made of wood. The wood is careworn but that is to be expected given its age. The glass front has no issues that I can see. The back is a hard paper with the original loop hanger. I did not open this up to see if there were additional markings underneath. Sometimes there are. This is a fabulous engraving from the 1700's and would be a fine addition to any miniature collection.
