Beautiful antique French sewing case fitted with original sewing tools circa the late 1800s. I absolutely love this sewing case. It has a cream exterior with a gilt pattern on it. The interior is cream-colored silk and velvet. Inside the case, there are sewing necessities that are beautifully decorated in elegant patterned styling, comprising of scissors, and a thimble. These are housed within the original velvet-lined fitted presentation box. The box is in good condition, and the original hinges and closure mechanism work perfectly. The interior back of the box, which is silk, has been frayed over time, and there is a partial manufacturer's name I can not read. The case measures 4.75" x 2.25" x 1". This is a darling original piece we purchased from a private sewing collector in Provence.
