A very pretty antique french wedding crown or hairpiece. This is a handmade piece with two stands of beaded wire and another with handmade wax apple blossom buds along the front. On each sode there are pale silk florals with more apple blossum buds in cream and green. The back is a single wired strand of apple blossom buds. This is a darling handcrafted decorative piece from the 1800's. A timeless treasure and a fabulous display item that can probably still be used. The crown opens and closes on the left side at the back of the flowers. There is a small loop where the back wired apple blossom piece tucks in to contract or expand as needed. This can be seen in the pictures. As it sits closed it measures approximately 7" in diameter. This is a one of a kind and truly a fabulous piece of history.
This is an antique that is approximately 150 years old. There is wear commensurate with age.
