A very pretty antique french wedding crown or hairpiece. This is a handmade piece with two strands of beaded wire with handmade wax apple blossom buds along the front. On each side there are pale silk florals with more apple blossum buds in cream. The back has on both sides more flowers and apple blossom buds. This is a darling handcrafted decorative piece from the 1800's. A timeless treasure and a fabulous display item that can still be used. The crown can be worn open or closed by connecting the wired ends to each other. As it sits closed it measures approximately 6" in diameter but remember it can opened up and easily held in place with a bobby pin. This is a one of a kind and truly a fabulous piece of history.
This is an antique that is approximately 150 years old. There is wear commensurate with age.
