This is an adorable Antique 19th century French boudoir bag/box. The top flaps and ties are strengthened within with strong cardboard which is in between layers of fabric. . The base is beautifully ruched and the inside bottom is all hand stitched. This piece is strong with ties at the top. While it a gorgeous period boudoir confection I can also see it being used as a sewing bag.
When closed this piece measues 9" x 12".
