Beautiful Antique french sewing case with fitted with original sewing tools circa late 1800's. I absolutely love this sewing case. It has a cream exterior with green markings and a cream/yellow silk and velvet interior. Inside the carse there are sewing necessities that are beautifully decorated in elegant patterned styling. Comprising of a pair of scissors, a thimble, needle case etui, and stiletto awl. All housed within the original velvet lined fitted presentation box retailed by H. Cayrel "Bijoutier" (jeweler) of Narbonne France. A retailer specializing in small items, jewelry and decorative objects. The box is in excellent condition with the original hinges and closure mechanism working perfectly. The case measures 5" x 3" x 1". This is a darling original piece in fantastic condition. We purchased this case from a sewers private collection in Provence along with a large collection of threads, notions and textiles.
