Darling antique French Agnes Dei picture. This is an original from France. This is not a reproduction. The frame measures 10.25" x 7.75". The frame is gilt wood. The actual artwork is older than the frame. It is an 1800s Agnes Dei paper decoupaged onto an old art board. The paper hangs over the edge of the board, which can be seen on the backside. Boards like these were used for painting, so there is a possibility that something is under the Agnes Dei artwork. Making do with what you had available was a very prevalent way back when. The hanger for the frame is long gone, but it does hang well on a single nail. The glass to the frame is also missing, and you can see on the backside where, at one time, it was covered in paper. Again, people make do. This is just a lovely and colorful original piece from 1800s France.
