Antique French art/paint box filled with assorted threads. This was part of a private collection I was able to purchase. While the art supplies are long gone the box is still in fantastic condition given its age of almost 125 years. The box has been filled to the hilt with all sorts of French sewing threads in assorted silks, wools and cottons. I did not remove the threads to count them as there are just to many. The box measures 11.75" x 7.75" x 2.75" and has 5 compartments. Two on each side and one large one in the middle. There is a keyhole for locking the box but alas I do not have the key. This is an original from France and includes all the threads and the box.
