French baguette bag/carrier or "pain sac". A gorgeous 1800's bag embroidered and monagrammed with an M. The baguette bag has a leather handle and straps. Inside the bag there is an inner layer to hold the bread. The ends of the bag where the trim is show a little wear but given it's age this is to be expected. I love the thought thay some madame collected her daily baguette from the patisserie in this confection. Lovely piece of history and just beautiful. This bag measures approximately 29" long.
