This is a wonderful antique French textile box from the late 1800s to early 1900s. This antique box is rectangular and was originally used to hold gloves. The boudoir box is made from heavy cardboard and covered with a lovely antique textile. The box has a beautiful antique patina and colors. The fabric is a woven pattern of pink and red roses. The interior of the box is lined with the same cloth. This antique French fabric box is perfect for holding so many things. The box structure is sturdy, and the lid is intact and in place. While the exterior fabric is slightly faded due to age, the interior maintains the original bright colors. The interior is also in good order. The exterior of the box has imperfections in the patina due to its age, which is expected as it is 110 - 140 years old, but other than fading, it is in what I call fantastic condition. The boudoir box measures approximately 13.25" long x 5.5" wide and 2.5" tall.
