Wonderful antique hand painted French engraving of Gabriel-Marie-Théodore-Joseph, comte d'Hédouville (27 July 1755, Laon, Aisne — 30 March 1825). He was a General who served frequently as chief of staff and later became a Senator. This is an original from France. It is not a reproduction. The Frame measures 9.5" x 6.25"., The frame is black with an inner band of gilding, and the glass is intact without damage. The back is paper-covered with a metal loop hanger in the center. This is a fabulous hand painted engraving from the 1800s that is a wonderful piece of history.
