A beautiful and well executed antique French miniature landscape painting. I think it is signed "H S d'Goyen" but I can't be sure. The painting is in the original wood frame, complete with glass. The old French Paper on the back is dated 1815 and speaks of Napolean II. Under the paper and poking through in some spots are the metal tabs that are holding the painting in place. At the top of the back, the original triangle hanger is still in place. Overall dimensions are 4.25" x 4.25" x .50". The Painting is in excellent condition. I can't be sure but I would say this is circa late 1700s.
