Charming antique French artist paint box. These boxes have become collectibles as decorative items in a French library, with used artists' palettes, antique or vintage paint brush holders, and old paintings. They make a wonderful vignette mixed with old books and works of art. This one has "Peinture" on the lid, which adds a bit of charm.
As can be expected, there are traces of old paint inside and outside the box. It measures 11" x 9" x 2.75" and opens and closes perfectly. There is a wire swing latch on the top to secure the lid.
