These are old French powder boxes we purchased in Provence. The boxes are made of beautifully colored decorated cardboard.
The smaller blue box is called "Soir de Paris" or "Evening in Paris," and it is from a company called PECHE BOUJOIS. This powder box has the original powder in it. It measures 3" x 1.25"
The larger decorated green patterned box is called "AIR SPUN" from L'AIMANT. This is a vintage 1940s Coty Air Spun Emeraude Vibrant powder box. It has no powder in it. It measures 3.5" x 1.5".
Both are made of heavy cardboard cardboard. Both are made in France, and both are from Paris. These are not reproductions. These are the original boxes.
Small powder box - 2.75" x 1.25"
