Every now and then I come upon a relic holder where the relic is long gone. This antique piece is just such a holder. This piece is either copper or bronze and I have yet to determine which. Truthfully, I probably won't since I like to keep items just as they are when I find or unpack them. This particular relic holder is square with a miniture clasp that works great. I can't see if there was a bail on this piece at one time or it was always meant to sit. The front of the piece is ornate with deftly done metal work. It measures .80" x .60" and is .30" thick.
