Sometimes things come to me from Europe and I am mesmerized by the “why” I will never know. This extra medal on this rosary is a perfect example. This extra medal is very old and worn. It is most definitely older than the rosary and I think it's a Saint Christopher medal. Why was this extra medal added? Was the medal maybe a special piece from a family member? For me there will always be a question behind the question when it comes to these types of finds. This French rosary has beautiful milk glass like beads with Saint Christopher added at the heart of the rosary. The heart of the rosary also happens to be shaped in a heart. This rosary with medal is sold as is. This is an old piece sold as found and I did not clean it. Wear commensurate with age.
