Beautiful 1800s to early 1900s antique French sewing etui comprising the needle case, scissors, thimble, bodkin (ribbon-threading needle), and stiletto. It has a brown wood exterior with a burgundy and velvet interior. There is burgundy piping around the outer edge of the velvet lid lining. This antique etui is in very good condition with minimal wear to the sewing implements. The case is in good order, with normal edge wear and a clean interior. The push button latch on the case is in perfect order, measuring 4.75" in length. It is 2.75" wide on the back end and 2.25" wide on the front end. This is a darling original piece in fantastic condition. We purchased this case from a private sewering collector in Provence with a large collection of threads, notions, and textiles.
