Wonderful antique French textile picture dating to the early layer 1800s. This antique picture is octagon in shape and arrived with a similarly done boudoir box. Possibly a gift to the same woman. The picture is made from heavy cardboard and covered with a lovely antique textile. In the central area, there is a chromo in sepia color featuring a mother with her children. The chromo is edged with metallic bronze trims. The picture has a beautiful antique patina and colors. The fabric is a silk pattern of vines and flowers. The back is also silk but it has frayed over the years. In the center, there was a piece of paper that is long gone. This antique French fabric picture is beautiful. The frame structure is sturdy and other than the frayed silk on the back everything is intact and in place. This can be expected given its age which is expected as it is 125 - 150 years old. The frame measures approximately 4.3" in diameter.
