Darling antique French Silk flowers in a glass lid box. This appears to be a make-do reliquary from 1800's. The box is made of wood and a glass lid has been attached to the top. Inside the box is a stunning small bouquet of silk and velvet flowers with gilt stems in the background. The lining of the box is green textured silk. The same fabric has been used on the back and adhered with glue and tiny tack nails. There is a single eye hook hanger. The box id 2.75" wide x 4" tall and is 1.2" deep. This is a lovely and deliceux piece from the 1800's. If only I knew who the flowers were for and what they represent.
