Antique 1800s French photo frame. Made of fabric and silk, it is embroidered with a beautiful floral design in fine stitches. The outer part of the frame, as well as the inner part of the frame, is covered in a delicate rope ribbon. It, too, has been painstakingly hand-stitched in place. The back of the frame has a slit in the middle that has been hand stitched, and at one time, a paper of some sort was sewn there. The bottom of the frame has an opening where a picture can be slid inside and tucked into position. The top of the frame has an additional piece of rope ribbon for hanging. This is just a beautiful antique piece at over 125 years old. It measures " x " x " and the interior square where the picture sits measures " x " x ".
