This lovely Au Bon Marche textile swatch book was found in our shipment from France. It is 1 of 3 that we found. It's a brief glimpse at French textile history at Au Bon MArche'. This wonderful book is a sample book that a customer would have looked through before placing an order. It dates from the early 1900's. There are a lot of swatches. There are 5 pages which were never used that could be used for recreating your own swatch pages and a couple of used pages missing the original textiles. This is a lovely piece of textile history. Bound in a green binding. The top has been stitched where it has come apart. The swatch book measure 12.5 " x 16.
