Beautiful carnelian signet intaglio seal. This is a seal used officially to give personal authority to a document in lieu of a signature. Usually signified by the family crest . This particular carnelian seal has the head of a griffin on it and measures .50" x .75". The accompanying seal in the case measures 1.25" x 1.5". They come together as a set.
