This is an 1800s relic of ExSepul. V. M. s. Joseph. Sp. This relic measures 1" x 75" and is .25" deep. It is in FABULOUS condition and was made long ago with serious craftsmanship. A piece of red cloth with metal thread surrounded by a silver metal thread. On the top and the bottom of the inside of the relic are blue pieces of paper with fragments of cloth on them and small relic pieces. Ex Sepul. is an abbreviation for ex sepulerali or Coffin. V.M. is the abbreviation for V.M. or Virgin Martyr. The back of the relic pops off to reveal red cording and a red wax seal. There is cotton cloth holding the relic and a religious medal on the end. I think this was worn as a necklace. It is a beautiful piece in fantastic condition.
