A quite lovely and beautifully handcrafted unique beaded relic from the 1800's. This evocative piece of French religious history was made by someone with such care and attention to detail. This could have been a souvenir from a pilgrimage or a keepsake from a departed member of a family.
This piece is made with tan silk, beads and sequins. The tan silk shows signs of wear but given it's age that is to be expected. For the most part the bead work looks to be in fantastic condition with only a few beads and missing. The back has no rips or tears. No frays or worn spots. There is a paper on the back with a prayer. There is a cord hanger at the top and this piece would look wonderful hanging on a wall. The piece measures approximately 4.15" x 3.15" x .5".
