Beautiful early 1800's hand painted tin box. This darling antique piece came from Provence. The original blue color has been worn away over time but the lovely decorative paintings can still be seen. The top features a house with a fence and someone sitting by a lake with a meadow in the background. The sides and inside are adorned with florals. The front latch is brass and it is intact and works as it did abouot 150 plus years ago. The hinges on the lid are both in perfect working order as well. The entire piece measures 5.4" x 3.25" x 1.4". There are a lot of possibilities with this piece of French history.
