Beautiful 19th century French Lourdes religious icon.
This piece is made of meerschaum. It has beautiful details and was mounted on a board long ago covered in beautiful blue velvet. Possibly mounted because the back of the original piece was gone and people made do with their family keepsakes and personal momento's any way they could. I don't know for sure as I did not take it apart. This piece has convex glass on the front with a brass frame mounted on the blue velvet backed in paper. The original piece still has the hook on top and there is la triangle hook on the back as well. The entire piece measures 4.25" x 3.25" x 1" . This piece is in FABULOUS condition.
