Beautiful antique Czech filigree fob/seal pendant. This is a stunning piece circa late 1800's early 1900's. It is a rare beauty in MINT condition. A beautiful striped glass agate stone seal encased in a decorative filigree cone. This seal would make a great addition to any collection.
The handle or cone features some stunning detail work with 5 small inset white stones/pearls (?). Near the top of the cone there is a beautiful Fleur-de-lis. The intricate handle design and seal color give it a vintage and elegant look making it perfect for any occasion. At the top of the ornate stem there is a hole through which a necklace can pass so it can be worn around the neck. This is a beautiful antique seal pendant. A true gem for both collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. The seal is about .70" x .90" and stands at 2.25" tall. It is in MAGNIFICENT condition.

Originally, filigree was made with delicate threads of precious metals being hand-manipulated by jewelers into intricate designs. This process took a lot of time and required expert craftsman. This made filigree jewelry very expensive. With the growth of industrialization in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the production of filigree jewelry became faster and more inexpensive than ever. This led to an explosion in the manufacturing of it. In the 1920s, filigree jewelry was used to show off.
