This is a lovely Antique French book dated 1855. This book is titled Dictionnaire de médecine, de chirurgie, de pharmacie, des sciences accessoires et de l'art vétérinaire. Translated that means "Dictionary of medicine, surgery, pharmacy, accessory sciences and veterinary art". Perfect a doctor, vet or for any antique or shabby chic decor. This is a fabulous book In antique condition with signs of wear and tear to be expected given its age of 169 years. The bindings are firm and intact. The front cover is loose at the bottom. The pages inside are worn and stained but I love this look. There are pictures as well. Something else I absolutely LOVE! The book measures 7" x 10 and is a thick 3.75" with almost 1500 pages. That is a lot of paper.
This is an original from France. This is not a reproduction. Keep it as it is if you are a collector or take it apart for decoupage, altered art, mixed media and so much more. I have also use these books for wallpaper. One book can be used for so much.
