Extremely fine Georgian family crest intaglio seal. Beautifully crafted this seal features a lovely carved bloodstone in rolled gold. This antique Georgian seal is a true gem for collectors. The Georgian seal features a beautifully carved unique bird with a branch design. This antique piece exudes a timeless elegance that is perfect for those who appreciate antique jewelry. It is .5" x .4" in dimensions. It is .70" tall. The matrix is in wonderful condition and I can see absolutely no defects. It has some wear on the frame but this is typical given it was probably used a lot and it's age of 200-plus years old. It just needs a good cleaning. This is perfect to use as a seal and it can be made to wear as a piece of jewelry. Just a beautiful piece of history.

Rolled gold is a thin coating applied to a baser metal by rolling. Rolled gold is actually a more valuable material than gold plated silver, because it is the solid gold that is the most valuable material.
