This is a lovely Antique French "DICTIONNAIRE UNIVERSAL" book from the 1800s complete with ruffled pages. Perfect for any antique or shabby chic decor. This is a fabulous book In antique condition with signs of wear and tear to be expected given its age of 200+ years. However, other than the outer binding I don't see any. The inner bindings are firm and intact. The pages inside are worn and the edges are completely ruffled. Something else I LOVE! The book measures 9" x 11" x 3" and has 812 pages and it is HUGE.
This is an original from France. This is not a reproduction. Keep it as it is if you are a collector or take it apart for decoupage, altered art, mixed media and so much more. I have also used these books for wallpaper. One book can be used for so much.
