Beautiful antique French art from the 1800's. This is a wonderful 19th century moody portrait. While it came from France I am getting an Italian feeling from this piece. I can't be sure of the original origin as the information on the back has long since disappeared. This is a piece is on beveled board inside a gilt wooden frame. The frame has been repaired and you can clearly see the board within it along the edges. The overall dimension of the piece is 6.25" x 7" and that includes the frame. The beveled board measures 4.2" x 5". I wish I had more information on this piece but I don't.
