Beautiful antique French botanical on canvas painting. The painting is an original piece on canvas and stretched on a wooden frame. The canvas is held in place with small tacks that go all around. The canvas is intact on the frame. While the canvas painting is an antique the frame is not as old. It appears to have been restretched onto a frame that is not the original or this could have been mounted under glass. The blooms are big and bold and have texture to them as they are raised from the canvas. This is a lovely old piece. I have a thing for these old botanical paintings; this one is beautiful with the large blooms. The overall dimensions are 18" x 15" x 1", and it is a large piece. The 1" accounts for the depth of the frame.
