Superb and rare 9ct Gold carnelian musical lyre seal/fob/pendant. This is another seal I have never had. Also, I have never seen a musical lyre seal until now. This is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship. The seal sits in a 9 carot gold frame. There is an ornate stem and at the top there is a hole through which a necklace can pass so it can be worn around the neck. This is a beautiful antique seal fob pendant. A true gem for both collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. It is approximately .25" square and sits at about .55" tall. This piece is in wonderful condition given its age and it truly is a rare find.

Fun Fact -
Carnelian (also spelled cornelian) is a brownish red mineral commonly used as a semiprecious stone. Similar to carnelian is sard, which is generally harder and darker; the difference is not rigidly defined, and the two names are often used interchangeably.
