Rare 1800's antique framed puffins. This is an original antique print from France in the origial frame. The print is in fabulous conditionand and shows little signs of aging. The frame is intact with the glass and there are no cracks or breacks. The front also has an old blue sticker on it with the number 77. The back is sealed tight and there is a small loop hanger at the top. The words "Macareux Moine" and "Mergule Nain" are also on the back. In French Macareux Moine means Puffin and Mergule Nain means Dwarf Dove.
This framed piece measures approximately 12" x 9". There is some wear to the frame but that is to be expected given its age of over 125 years.
