Beautiful Antique French rosary. This stunning antique rosary is a beautiful relic rosary. On the back of the crucifix is written ASSISI POLVERE TOMBA S. FRANCESSCO. Roughly, this translates to "PIECE FROM THE TOMB OF SAINT FRANCESCO ASSISI." The rosary is an opening crucifix relic. Inside the crucifix is a red piece of paper with a circular cloth in the center. I did not remove the paper to examine it as I did not want to disturb or ruin the relic as something might be underneath it. The crucifix is in good working order and has its original screw on the bottom. Please note that this is not a new piece. It is an old piece sold as found. I did not clean it, so there is wear commensurate with age.
