Vintage French 1930s notebook. This is a brown and cream-paste paper notebook with a black binding. Inside there are what appear to be duplicate papers imprinted with copy paper and the originals have been removed. The top of each page is printed with the business name "V. Chevet". Above that is printed "CIDRE, POMMES A CIDRE ET ALCOOLS". Translated this means "CIDER, CIDER APPLES AND ALCOHOLS" so I will assume this is from an old French mercantile of sorts. The front cover is bent from years of use and from folding it. The same is true for the back. There is also a tattered grey ribbon that was used as a place-marker.
This paste paper notebook measures 4.25" x 7". The bindings are firm and intact. It came to me in a considerable lot of French notebooks. This is a lovely piece indeed. Perfect for crafting all sorts of things. Unlimited possibilities. Keep it as it is or take it apart.
